Corporate Diwali gifting timeline 2026 showing Good Graze gift hamper, order and dispatch deadlines, and key dates before Dhanteras and Diwali.

Corporate Diwali Gifting Timeline: When to Order So Gifts Arrive Before Dhanteras

Dhanteras falls on Friday 6 November 2026, so your real gifting deadline is earlier than you think. Here is a week-by-week plan for when to lock, dispatch and hand out corporate Diwali gifts.

If you want corporate Diwali gifts in hand before Dhanteras on Friday 6 November 2026, aim to lock your order by around 19 October and have everything dispatched by the last week of October. That leaves room for approvals, address changes and courier delays, which are what usually go wrong. Below is a week-by-week plan working back from Dhanteras, so you know exactly when to order corporate Diwali gifts and what has to be decided at each step.

Why Dhanteras is the real deadline this year

Diwali (Lakshmi Puja) falls on Sunday 8 November 2026, and Dhanteras is two days earlier, on Friday 6 November, according to Shubh Panchang's 2026 festival dates. Bhai Dooj follows on 10 or 11 November, depending on the calendar you follow.

For anyone gifting in Mumbai or elsewhere in Maharashtra, the state holiday list makes the week after Diwali even quieter. The Maharashtra government's 2026 holiday list has Laxmi Pujan on Sunday 8 November, Balipratipada on Tuesday 10 November and Bhaubeej on Wednesday 11 November. Add the people who take Monday 9 November off to bridge the gap, and many offices will be half-empty from Friday 6 November until the following Thursday.

So in practice your hand-out day is Wednesday 4 or Thursday 5 November. A hamper that lands on the 7th is a hamper that sits in a locked office over Diwali.

The corporate Diwali gifting timeline for 2026

This is the calendar we would follow if we were the HR or admin person running gifts for a 50-person office. Shift it earlier if you need customised boxes, approvals from more than one person, or deliveries to homes across several states.

When What to get done Why it matters
Now to Mon 12 Oct Fix the budget per person, the final headcount (include contract staff and interns if they are in), and shortlist two or three vendors Budget and headcount decide everything else; changing them later restarts the approval loop
By Fri 16 Oct Taste a sample hamper, check what is inside, ask about best-before dates and allergens A sample on someone's desk settles debates faster than a PDF catalogue
By Mon 19 Oct Confirm the quantity, get the PO or payment approved, and send the vendor your delivery plan Dussehra is on Tuesday 20 October, and the holiday eats into that working week
By Fri 23 Oct Freeze the address list for anyone receiving gifts at home A late address change can push a single delivery past the festival
By Wed 28 Oct Gifts going outside Maharashtra should be dispatched Our shipping policy puts delivery outside Maharashtra at 3 to 5 days in normal conditions, and festive weeks are not normal
By Fri 30 Oct Gifts going to a Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane office should be dispatched Gives you the weekend plus Monday as a cushion
Mon 2 to Wed 4 Nov Receive, count, check for damage, store somewhere cool and dry Leaves time to replace a damaged box before hand-out
Wed 4 or Thu 5 Nov Hand out gifts or confirm home deliveries Last full working days before Dhanteras and the long weekend

One caveat: we have not put a fixed production time for bulk orders in this table, because it depends on the quantity, the hamper and how busy the season is. Every vendor's answer will be different. Your bulk Diwali gifts deadline is whatever dispatch date the vendor confirms in writing, so get that date before you raise the PO. If you are considering us, share your quantity and date on WhatsApp at +91 81049 05922 and we will confirm what is possible.

Four decisions that decide your dates

Most Diwali gifting planning goes wrong in the same four places. Get these settled early and the dates above become easy to hit.

1. Office hand-out or home delivery

Handing out gifts at the office is simpler: one delivery, one person to receive it, one day to check the boxes. It works well for teams that come in on fixed days. For hybrid teams, where half the floor is empty on a Thursday, home delivery is fairer, but it adds a week to your plan because you need to collect and clean up addresses. If you go this route, send the address form by 12 October and give people five working days to fill it in. Someone will always reply on the last day.

2. Ready-made or customised

Ready-made hampers can usually ship within days. Anything customised, whether a different mix of items, special boxes or printed sleeves, needs a longer runway, and that time varies a lot between vendors. If customisation matters to you, start the conversation this week and treat the vendor's quoted timeline as the real deadline.

3. How many approvals your order needs

Count the people who must sign off: your manager, finance, sometimes the founder. Each one adds a day or two, more if someone is travelling. The goods move quickly; the approvals often do not.

4. Where your people are

A Pune or Nashik delivery from Navi Mumbai behaves differently from one going to Kolkata or Bengaluru. Sort your list into two piles, within Maharashtra and outside it, and give the outside pile its own earlier dispatch date. Orders on our site placed before 5 PM IST ship the same day, as set out in our shipping policy.

What to order, depending on how late you are

Knowing when to order corporate Diwali gifts is only half of it. The other half is choosing gifts that still fit the time you have left.

  • Four or more weeks out (you are here): anything goes, including hampers with a mix of sweet and savoury items, customised boxes, and gifts for home delivery across India.
  • Two to three weeks out: stick to ready-made hampers from a vendor who can confirm stock in writing. Skip customisation unless the vendor commits to a date.
  • Under a week out: e-gift vouchers, a local sweet shop for office hand-out, or ready hampers from a vendor close to your office. Fresh mithai from a neighbourhood halwai is a perfectly good last-minute gift if it is eaten within a few days.

Whatever you pick, ask for the best-before date. Ordering early only works if the food will still be good on the day it is opened, and a box that sits in a humid Mumbai storeroom for two weeks needs a decent shelf life.

Good Graze hampers that work for office gifting

Our coconut products start with coconuts grown on our family's 5th-generation estate in Sindhudurg. We make them in small batches, and pack and dispatch every hamper from Mahape MIDC in Navi Mumbai. If a healthier hamper suits your team, these are the ones we would point you to. All of them contain nuts, so check with anyone who has an allergy before you order. Prices are current at the time of writing.

  • Emerald Canopy Healthy Snack Gift Hamper, ₹745: Vanilla or Toasted Coconut Chips (55g), Coffee Cookies (70g) and Peri Peri Almonds (100g). Our simplest hamper to send to a whole team.
  • Crimson Canopy Festive Hamper with Scented Candle, ₹840: Almond Jaggery Cookies (100g), Vanilla or Toasted Coconut Chips (100g), Coconut Millet Pops (65g) and a scented candle. The candle makes it feel like a Diwali gift rather than just snacks.
  • Crimson Canopy Reserve Gourmet Client Hamper, ₹1,215: Chatpata Cashews (100g), Coffee Cookies (70g), Oats & Almond Bites (80g) and Vanilla or Toasted Coconut Chips (75g). A good fit for clients and senior team members.
  • Midnight Bloom Grande Premium Gift Hamper, ₹1,605: Coconut Sugar (150g), Almond Butterscotch Laddoos (100g), Oreo Oats Cookies (100g), Peri Peri Almonds (100g), Vanilla or Toasted Coconut Chips (75g) and Coconut Millet Pops (55g). Our most generous box, for leadership or key clients.

You can see all of them, side by side, in our corporate Diwali gift hampers collection. If you are still working out how much to spend per person, our Diwali gift budget guide will help you settle on a per-person number.

A short checklist before you place the order

  1. Final headcount, with names, signed off by whoever owns the budget.
  2. Delivery plan: office addresses with a named receiver and a phone number, or a cleaned-up home address list.
  3. Allergy check: ask the team quietly whether anyone avoids nuts, gluten or dairy, and order a few alternatives.
  4. A confirmed dispatch date from the vendor, in writing.
  5. A plan for people who join or leave between now and Diwali. Order two or three spare hampers.

The spare hampers are the cheapest insurance in this whole exercise. Someone's box will arrive dented, someone will join on 2 November, and a client will walk in unannounced.

Frequently asked questions

When should I order corporate Diwali gifts in 2026?

Lock your order by around 19 October and have gifts dispatched by the last week of October. That should get them to you by 2 to 4 November, ahead of Dhanteras on Friday 6 November. Customised or multi-city orders need to start earlier, so talk to your vendor now.

Is it too late to order corporate Diwali gifts?

In early October, no. You have enough time for almost any kind of gift. From late October, stick to ready-made hampers with confirmed stock, and in the final week, consider local options or e-vouchers.

What is the latest date to dispatch gifts outside Maharashtra?

Our shipping policy puts delivery outside Maharashtra at 3 to 5 days in normal conditions. For a hand-out on 4 or 5 November, we would dispatch by 28 October to allow for festive-season courier load. Other vendors will have their own timelines, so ask.

Should we send Diwali gifts to the office or to employees' homes?

Office hand-out is easier and cheaper to manage, and it works if most people are in on the same days. For hybrid or remote teams, home delivery is fairer, but collect addresses by mid-October so the dispatch dates still hold.

Your next step

Put two dates in your calendar today: 19 October to lock the order, and 28 October as the dispatch deadline for anything leaving Maharashtra. Then fix your headcount and budget this week.
