Homemade Salad Dressing Reading Baked Onion Rings 1 minute Next Baked Gujiya

Make fun and flavorful baked onion rings with a healthy twist and coconut goodness as appetisers.

Cooking Level: Easy

Wet ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 thyme/ dried herbs
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Dry ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp Good Graze Desiccated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/4 thyme/dried herbs
  • 1/4 tsp salt


  • Preheat oven to 225 °C
  • Slice ends off of each onion and carefully cut 1/2 inch portions
  • Using your fingers gently press the Centre of the onion to form a hollow ring/layer
  • Mix wet ingredients to a bowl and stir. Mix the dry ingredients and keep to the side.
  • Dip onion ring in the batter and allow any excess batter to drip off.
  • Now, place the onion ring now in the breadcrumbs and with the opposite hand cover and coat the onion ring
  • Place on a lined and drizzle some coconut oil and bake for 10 minutes at 225 °C
